Ms. Barlow received her Masters of Audiology degree in 1991 from Western Michigan University and her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association in April 1992. She has been a long time member of the American Academy of Audiology and the Michigan Academy of Audiology. Ms. Barlow is currently attending the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and Audiology and will receive her Doctor of Audiology degree by the end of 2009. Ms. Barlow has worked in both private practice and medical offices with ear, nose and throat physicians. She has been with Hearing Consultants of Michigan since 2000. Ms. Barlow enjoys working with patients of all ages, but also has a special interest in the geriatric population.

Lisa Bont, M.A. is a long time member of ASHA, the American Speech and Hearing Association. She is also a fellow of AAA, the American Academy of Audiology. Lisa received her Master of Arts degree from Western Michigan University in 1990. She has worked in a variety of professional settings over the last 18 years, from hearing aid manufacturing to ENT practices. From a personal perspective she has been married 17 years and has three children. She is actively involved with her children and church. Her hobbies are traveling and camping with her family, reading and gardening.

Dr. Kade graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and Audiology to earn her Doctorate in Audiology in 2002. Her undergraduate and graduate degrees were completed in December, 1990 from Central Michigan University, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. She received her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in June of 1991. Dr. Kade served as a member of the Board of Director's for the Michigan Academy of Audiology from 2000 - 2002. She is also a member of the American Academy of Audiology, and the American Doctors of Audiology.
Dr. Kade has experience in various settings, from private practice, and Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) offices. She has participated in balance testing and auditory brainstem response testing (testing the pathway from the ear to the brain with electrodes). Through these experiences, she has found working with hearing impaired patients the most rewarding. Dr. Kade attends numerous conferences and conventions to remain updated in the field of Audiology.

Mrs. Kudela has been with our practice for 12 years and is currently enrolled in the International Institute for Hearing Instrument studies. She attends several training seminars throughout the year to stay current with the many advances in the hearing instrument field. She enjoys working with patients of all ages. Always cheerful, you probably hear her laughing through the office!

Christin Pfent, Au.D. is the newest member of our audiolological staff. Dr. Pfent received her Bachelor's degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Michigan State University in 2002 and graduated from Western Michigan University with her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree in August 2006. Dr. Pfent is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, holds her clinical Certificate of Competence in Audiology from the American Speech, Hearing, and Language Association and is also a member of Michigan Academy of Audiology. Dr. Pfent enjoys working with patients of all ages and is very excited to be a part of the practice.
