Kari Krause received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Central Michigan University in 1989.  Ms. Krause is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is an active member and past board member of the Michigan Academy of Audiology.  She currently holds an Audiology license from the State of Michigan. 
 
Ms. Krause went into private practice in 1994.  She had previously worked at a large doctor’s office and felt that the patients got “lost” in a large office.  Her goal, since going into private practice, has always been to be sure that each individual feels special and they do not feel like a “number”.  She wants every person to know that their best interests always come first.   Ms. Krause has always had a passion to help to help the hearing impaired.  She enjoys working with hearing aids especially since new technologies are making hearing aids sound better and are more comfortable.
 
Ms. Krause is currently working out of the Lapeer office.  She resides in Lake Orion with her husband AJ and daughter Samantha.

Christin Pfent, Au.D. is the audiologist in our Chesterfield location.  Dr. Pfent received her Bachelor's degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Michigan State University in 2002 and graduated from Western Michigan University with her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree in August 2006.  Dr. Pfent is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, holds her clinical Certificate of Competence in Audiology from the American Speech, Hearing, and Language Association and is also a member of Michigan Academy of Audiology.  Dr. Pfent enjoys working with patients of all ages and is very excited to be a part of the practice.

Nina received her bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Michigan State University in 1982 and her master’s degree in Audiology from Case Western Reserve University in 1983.  She currently holds a license in Audiology from the State of Michigan and is a member of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association.

The mission statement of the Hearing Consultants of SE Michigan empowers Nina to help every patient “regain their confidence and self-esteem, and to be independent in a hearing world”.

Nina lives in West Bloomfield with her husband, Jeff, daughters Meryl and Jenna, and their four legged companions: Roxy, the feline, and Maya, the canine.  In her next life, Nina would like to come back to this earth as her kids or her animals.
